Uttarakhand: The Modi government at the Centre received a big jolt on imposition of President’s rule in the Hill State when the Nainital High Court directed to decide the fate of Harish Rawat government on the floor of the House on March 31.

The order of the High Court was delivered on a petition filed by the Congress challenging the Centre’s decision of imposition of the President’s Rule in Uttarakhand. The Nainital High Court, after two days of arguments, directed to hold floor test on March 31 to decide the fate of the minority Harish Rawat government.

What High Court ordered:

  • The High Court has ordered for Holding Floor test on March 31.
  • Nine Rebels of the Congress allowed to vote.
  • However their voting would be done separately.
  • High Court will announce the result on April 1.
