Flood like situation can be seen in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. IMD predicts heavy to very heavy rain for next 48 hours.

New Delhi: Due to heavy rains in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, flood-like situation has arisen in many areas. Rains and floods have killed 20 in Telangana and 10 in Andhra Pradesh. The pressure in the Bay of Bengal in both the states led to torrential rains.

The condition became so bad due to heavy rains that boats were stuck on the roads to remove the trapped people in the water. The people trapped in the water were rescued by the State Disaster Management (SDRF) team.

Heavy Rain situation in Andhra Pradesh:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy to take stock of the rains. With this, PM Modi has assured the Chief Ministers of both states of all possible help from the Central Government.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted that I have spoken to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy about the situation created by heavy rains. The Center assured all possible help in relief and rescue work. My condolences to the people affected by the heavy rains.

President Kovind spoke to Governor of Telangana:

Apart from this, President Ramnath Kovind also spoke to the Governor and Chief Minister of Telangana. He expressed concern over loss of life and property due to incessant rains in many parts of Hyderabad and Telangana.

The President has tweeted and said talks with Telangana Governor Tamilasai and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and expressed concern over loss of life and property due to incessant rains in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana. In this hour of crisis, the countries are united with the people of Telangana.
