The river in the Dholganga Valley and Alaknanda Valley took a form of ravine due to floods from the broken iceberg in the upper catchment area of ​​Rishiganga originating from the Nanda Devi National Park, a private company located near the village of Rani at the confluence of the Rishiganga and Dhauli Ganga. The Rishiganga power project has suffered extensive damage. Also, due to the velocity of flooding along the banks of Dhauli Ganga, there is tremendous erosion.

The dam was damaged due to the glacier burst. Causing flooding in the Dholi River. Tapovan barrage completely demolished. A portion of the dam of the power project on the Rishiganga River in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand has been broken. This has increased the flow in the Alaknanda River. The team of ITBP Uttarakhand Police, National Disaster Relief Force and State Disaster Relief Force have left for the spot.
