Covid vaccination covering people aged above 50 from March

New Delhi: Union Minister Harsh Vardhan has said that the government has ended the deadline to increase the speed of anti-Corona vaccine. Now citizens can get vaccinated 24/7, as per their convenience. Earlier, when the second phase of vaccination was going to start from March 1, the time from 9 am to 3 pm at every center was fixed for vaccination.

No time limit for corona vaccination:

The Health Minister tweeted that the government has abolished time constraints to increase the speed of vaccination. Citizens of the country can now get vaccine 24x7 at their convenience. PM Narendra Modi understands the value of citizens' health as well as their time.

Vaccination in India:

Till date, 1.54 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine provided to the beneficiaries. This figure also includes 6,09,845 doses given on Tuesday. The Union Health Ministry gave this information in its provisional data. Covid-19's nationwide vaccination campaign began on January 16 with vaccination of health workers. At the same time, vaccination of the personnel of the advance front started from February 2.

After this, vaccinations of people over 60 years of age and those above 45 years of serious diseases have started since March 1. The ministry said that according to the provisional data till 7 pm, a total of 1,54,61,864 doses of the vaccine gave so far.

These include 4,34,981 beneficiaries above 60 years of age and 60,020 beneficiaries above 45 years of age with severe illnesses. According to the ministry's provisional data, a total of 6,09,845 people received vaccine doses till 7 pm on Tuesday, the 46th day of vaccination. Of these, 5,21,101 beneficiaries were given the first dose, while 88,744 health workers and advance front personnel were given the second dose.
