Fire breaks out near Padmanabhaswamy temple in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: A major fire broke out near the famous Padmanabhaswamy temple in the Western Nada district of Kerala at 0330 hours on Sunday. No causalities were reported.

Thiruvananthapuram: A major fire broke out near the famous Padmanabhaswamy temple in the Western Nada district of Kerala at 0330 hours on Sunday. No causalities were reported.

The nearby post office and godown was completely gutted in the fire.

  • According to the officials, the cause of the fire was yet not known.
  • More than five fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot.

The officials said, "It took more than three hours to douse the flame. The cause of the fire is yet not ascertained. Police is probing the matter."

The fire was noticed in the CCTV cameras of the temple.

The place which caught fire is just 50 meters away from the famed Padmanabhaswamy temple complex.

More details regarding the incident are still awaited.
