To stop the ever-increasing suicide cases of coaching students in Rajasthan, Kota Police has signed an agreement with META company. According to this, students giving any indication of suicide on social media platforms Facebook and Instagram will be identified, so that they can be helped in time and another suicide can be prevented.

Kota Police claims that with the help of this agreement made a week ago, they stopped a student from Jhunjhunu from committing suicide in the coaching hub. Under this agreement, a team of Meta is working 24 hours a day from the city's Abhay Command Center to identify and red-flag students with suicidal tendencies. As soon as a student comes on their radar, they immediately alert the police of the concerned area. After this, the police team reaches the spot without wasting time and stops the said student before taking any wrong step.

Giving more information about this agreement, SP of Kota city Amrita Duhan said, 'Cases of student suicide are increasing continuously in Kota, which is very worrying. This year a total of 9 students have lost their lives. During the investigation of these cases, we found in some that the students had expressed their troubles and suicidal thoughts on social media. If someone had understood it on time, perhaps they could have been saved. That is why we have signed an agreement with Meta Company, so that the police can reach them on time to help such students, and their lives can be saved.'

SP Duhan said, 'We wanted to make this agreement only for Kota city. But Meta said that they cannot focus specifically on just one city, but they will provide such information from all over Rajasthan. We then talked to the DGP Police Headquarters in Jaipur about this, and after approval from there, it was decided to take this responsibility for the entire state. If a student from Kota posts content related to suicide or self-harm, a red-flag tag will flash on Meta's system. After this, their account information will be shared with the Kota police.'

The SP further said, 'If the student is from outside Kota, these details will be sent to the Abhay Command Center or the control room of the concerned district for timely action. No such red-flag tag has been reported in the city since the launch of this collaborative initiative, but the police have prevented a potential suicide by a student hailing from Jhunjhunu district. At present, this initiative is active in the city, but plans are underway to extend it to the police headquarters in Jaipur.'
