Extremely heavy rain in Western Maharashtra; IMD issues alert

New Delhi: Most states of the country have given up the monsoon, but there are still some states where light, moderate and heavy rains continue. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cloudy and light rain in Mumbai today i.e. Saturday.

Let us tell that 28 people have lost their lives due to the flood situation created due to heavy rains in many districts of Western Maharashtra. While more than two thousand houses have suffered damage. Apart from this, crops have also been damaged on a large scale.

IMD predicts rain in Delhi and other metros:

According to IMD, the sky will remain clear in the national capital on Saturday. There are chances of cloudy and light rain in other metros like Chennai. There is a possibility of light rain in Kolkata. Apart from this, it will be very cloudy. At the same time, the sky has been said to be clear in Jammu, Srinagar and Ladakh. According to IMD, the capital of Odisha, Guwahati will be cloudy with fog.

Moderate rain in South Odisha:

The Meteorological Department has said that light to moderate rains are likely over South Odisha, South Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Vidarbha, South and Southwest Madhya Pradesh, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Gujarat and Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the next 24 hours. Whereas Kerala, parts of Tamil Nadu, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka and interior Karnataka, Konkan Goa may receive light rains and moderate rains in some parts.

Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, East and West Godavari, Guntur, Krishna, Prakasam, Srikakulam districts of neighboring states of Andhra Pradesh are also likely to receive rain. Let us tell you that due to the rains in many districts including the capital of Maharashtra and Telangana, in the past, the flood situation has arisen.

At the same time, many people have lost their lives in flood related incidents. Nearly 28 people have lost their lives in western Maharashtra, while 50 people have died in rain related incidents in Telangana.
