Put forth evidence of surgical strikes against Pak: Cong to Centre

New Delhi: The Congress on Monday asked the Centre to provide ‘credible’ evidence of the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) to zip the lip of the neighbouring country which had been denying any such action.

“We (Cong) do not have even a slightest doubt about the veracity of the last week’s surgical strikes taken out by our army on terrorist launch pads across the border. It is, however, necessary to expose Pakistan which has been refusing to accept the truth,” said Anand Sharma, a senior spokesman of the grand old party.

When asked to have his say on the Aam Admi Party’s demand for putting forth the video of the surgical strikes, Sharma said that the party must not doubt what had been stated by the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO).

What else Anand Sharma said:

• Pakistan is misleading its people by denying the claims of the Indian Army operation against them.
• Our government must expose the denial of Pakistan.
• The entire political leadership is standing by the Modi dispensation in this matter.
• It is the high time when we should prove what we did.
