Earthquake of magnitude 5.9 jolts North Korea

New Delhi: A 4.7-magnitude earthquake shook Delhi and adjacent areas of National Capital Region (NCR) early on Friday morning, the US Geological Survey said.

The tremors were felt for nearly a minute at around 4.20 am. The tremors were strong enough to create a panic among the dwellers of the national capital.

The US Geological Survey further claimed that the epicentre of the earthquake was in Gohana in Haryana.

No loss of life or property, however, has been reported in any area of Delhi.
