1.93 percent of Corona patients are in ICU: Dr Harsh Vardhan

Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan chaired a high level meeting today regarding the corona crisis. This was the 20th meeting of the High Level Group of Ministers (GoM) regarding Corona. The Union Health Minister instructed the Ministry of Health to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Members of Parliament and Legislative Assembly sessions, including the Corona Protocol.

1.93 percent of patients are on ICU:

In the meeting, the Health Minister expressed satisfaction over the various coordinated efforts of the Center and the States. During the meeting, Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that only 0.29 percent of Corona patients in Corona country are on ventilator, 1.93 percent of patients are on ICU and 2.88 percent of cases are on oxygen support. Along with this, he said that more than 9 lakh corona trials have been done in the last 24 hours.

At the meeting, the chairman of Empowered Group stated that Bharat Biotech is undergoing Phase II trials along with Zydus Cadila vaccine, which is based on DNA. Along with this, he further said that the Oxford Vaccine of Serum Institute of India is already in Phase III trials.

Corona Updates:

More than 75 thousand cases of corona virus have been reported for the third consecutive day in India. According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours, 76 thousand 472 cases of corona have been reported and 1,021 people have died.

During this period 65,050 patients were cured and nine lakh 28 thousand 761 sample tests were done.

According to the Ministry of Health, a total of 34 lakh 63 thousand 973 cases have been reported in the country so far and 62 thousand 550 people have died.
