New York: Republican Donald Trump on Tuesday thanked Indians for their enormous support and making him win the US Presidential Elections.

He said, "I thank all the Indians for making me win. I will never forget the support I got from all the Indians."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to the micro-blogging website Twitter to congratulate the newly elected President of the US for his remarkable win.

Modi said, "Congratulations @realDonaldTrump on being elected as the 45th US President."

Trump on Tuesday stunned the world by defeating his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton to become the 45th President of the United States.

Trump won with 289 electoral votes compared to 218 for Clinton.

Donald Trump, in his victory speech, said, "I will be the leader for all Americans."
