New Delhi: The Narendra Modi government is using all available channels and putting all kinds of pressure including diplomatic to seek release of army jawan who strayed into Pakistan terror last month during the surgical strike.

In addition, Director General of Military Operation Ranbir Singh will talk to his Pakistani counterpart directly for the purpose. He had appealed for release of the jawan Chandu Babulal Chauhan some time ago which has gone unheeded.

The 23-year-old army man hails from Worbir village in Maharashtra. His grandmother suffered heart attack as the news of his arrest by Pak army reached her. She died following cardiac arrest.
