Former Director General of Corporate affairs B K Bansal who was arrested under corruption charges committed suicide with his son on Tuesday at his residence here.
New Delhi: Former Director General of Corporate affairs B K Bansal who was arrested under corruption charges committed suicide with his son on Tuesday at his residence here.
According to police, Bansal and his son hanged themselves from the ceiling fan . Their bodies were discovered by the maid.
On July 16, Bansal was arrested by the CBI for allegedly accepting the bribe of Rs 9 lakhs from a Pharmaceutical Company. He was released on bail in August.
The day when Bansal was arrested on corruption charges, his wife Satyabala along with his daughter Neha committed suicide hanging themselves from the ceiling fan.
They also wrote a suicide note in which they said that the raid had caused great humiliation and that they did not want to live after that. They blamed no one for their death.
