New Delhi: Dengue Cases in Delhi are continuously increasing. It has broken the record of last 5 years. In Delhi this year the number of dengue patients has crossed 5 thousand. Dengue cases are the highest in the last 5 years. In the last one week only 2569 dengue patients came.

Delhi Dengue Case:

According to the report of the civic body, the total number of dengue patients in Delhi this year has reached 5277. So far 9 patients have died in Delhi due to dengue. Not a single death has been recorded during the last one week.

After the death of three more patients due to dengue in the national capital, nine people have lost their lives due to this disease so far, with this the cases have crossed 5 places. This information came to light from a figure released on Monday.

This is the highest death due to dengue in any year in Delhi since 2017. That year officially 10 dengue patients died. According to the data released by the civic body on this mosquito-borne disease on Monday, more than 1170 new cases have been reported in the last one week.

Out of more than 2700 cases of dengue that have been reported this year, 1171 are till 6th of this month. In October, 1196 cases of dengue were reported. This year till October 30, the total dengue cases stood at 1537 and the official death toll was six.

According to the report, this season till November 9, nine people have died due to dengue and so far 5 277 people have suffered from it. This is the highest figure of dengue in the same period after 2018. In September this year, 217 cases were reported, which was the highest number of dengue cases in that month in the last three years.

43 percent people infected with dengue:

43 per cent of the people in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) who took part in the survey conducted on the digital platform 'LocalCircles' said that their family or someone close to them has got dengue this year. Since mid-August, several residents of Delhi-NCR reported on 'local circles' about someone in their family having dengue symptoms like high fever, fatigue and joint pain.

The survey received 15,000 responses, of which 57 per cent were from Ghaziabad, 45 per cent in Delhi, 44 per cent in Noida, 40 per cent in Faridabad and 29 per cent in Gurgaon.
