SwineFlu perils Delhi: 18 positive cases registered at Safdarjung Hospital
On january 27, at least 479 people were confirmed swine flu positive as per a data released by National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in Delhi. Whereas, 11 deaths were registered due to swine flu from two big hospitals from Delhi, Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) and Safdarjung Hospital.
New Delhi: The number of patients infected with deadly swine flu virus, H1N1 in national capital has reached to 18, while, three deaths have been registered in Safdarjung Hospital alone till January 28.
“There have been 18 admissions and three deaths due to swine flu in our hospital in January,” said an official at Safdarjung Hospital.

However, data collected by NCDC confirms no death by Swine Flu.

Delhi's Safdarjung hospital has reported 18 positive cases of #SwineFlu. Out of 18 cases, three deaths took place till January 28.

The badly affected states from swine flu are Rajasthan, Punjab and Gujarat. To tackle the pandemic influenza, Health Ministry has instructed the states to strengthen their surveillance for early detection and reserve beds in hospitals for such cases.
