New Delhi: Singapore summoned the High Commissioner of India after it responded to the comment of CM Arvind Kejriwal of the national capital Delhi on the claim of 'Singapore Variant' of covid-19.

In fact, Kejriwal on Tuesday requested the central government to immediately cancel all air services with Singapore as a redesign of the coronavirus which was revealed there is being described as 'very dangerous' for children.

What is Singapore Corona Variant:

After summoning the Indian High Commissioner, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Wednesday, 'The Singapore Government called our High Commissioner today to express strong objection to the Delhi Chief Minister's tweet on the' Singapore variant '. "

According to Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi, 'the High Commissioner made it clear that the CM of Delhi does not have the authority to comment on the covid variant or the Civil Aviation Policy.'

On the other hand, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar praised India's relations with Singapore and said that the Chief Minister of Delhi is 'not the voice of India'. Foreign Minister said- 'Singapore and India have been partners in the fight against covid-19.

We appreciate Singapore's role as an oxygen supplier. Deploying military aircraft to help us points to our extraordinary relationship. However, people should know that their irresponsible comments can harm the long-standing partnership. Therefore, let me make it clear that the CM of Delhi does not have the right to speak on this.

Kejriwal commented on Singapore Variant:

Significantly, Kejriwal had expressed apprehension in the tweet that this new form of virus may knock in India as the third wave.

He tweeted in Hindi, 'The new form of Corona that came in Singapore is being described as very dangerous for children. In India, it may come as a third wave. My appeal to the Central Government is: 1. Air services with Singapore should be canceled with immediate effect. 2. Work on vaccine options for children also on priority basis. '
