New Delhi: The Election Commission is holding press conference regarding the result of Bihar election. The commission said, 'It is needless to say that till now the counting of votes has been absolutely mess-free. Over one crore votes have been counted in Bihar, which means important places are yet to be covered. '

Bihar Election Results 2020:

Who will win the seat of Chief Minister in Bihar, It will be decided today. The Bihar assembly elections were held in three phases. Now it has to be seen whether Nitish Kumar is his power-saving address or that Tejashwi Yadav shows amazing. Counting of votes started in all the 243 assembly seats of Bihar from 8 am.

Delay in counting the Votes:

The commission said, the counting of votes is not going on slowly. It is delayed because of Corona. The Commission official said, as per law, by 8 am today all the postal ballots had been received for counting.

This means that the postal ballots received till 8 am at the counting centers were counted today. The data related to this will be available at the level of the concerned returning officer.

No doubt on security of EVMs: Election Commission

Deputy Election Commissioner Sudeep Jain said, it has been clarified many times that EVMs cannot be tampered with. The Supreme Court has upheld the integrity of EVMs more than once. The Commission also filed a claim in 2017 to challenge EVMs. There is no doubt about the integrity of EVMs and there is no further clarity to offer.

Prior to the election results, political parties are claiming their victory. RJD leader Shivanand Tiwari said that the view shown in Tejashwi’s meeting this time has never been seen. It is not only Nitish Kumar’s defeat but also the defeat of PM Narendra Modi.
