Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reaches Ladakh with CDS Bipin Rawat

New Delhi: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has arrived in Ladakh on a two-day visit amid tense backlash from China following tensions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat and Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Mukund Narwane are also present with him. The Defense Minister will take stock of the security situation here on LAC and encourage the soldiers.

Indian Army in form at Stakna, Leh :

Indian Army T-90 tanks and BMP infantry combat vehicles carry out exercise at Stakna, Leh in presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General MM Naravane.

Para draping exercise in Ladakh:

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General MM Narwane have reached Lehna's Stakna. Soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces conducted para-draping exercises in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. According to the information, the Defense Minister will meet the Army officers at the 14 Corps Headquarters in Leh and discuss the current situation in eastern Ladakh. Will also meet soldiers posted on LAC.

Rajnath to review border situation:

Before leaving for the two-day visit, Rajnath Singh said that he was going to review the situation on the borders and interact with the armed forces personnel deployed in the area. Rajnath Singh will reach Lukung Post near Pangong Lake in the morning. Then Leh will talk to Air Force personnel at the airport and leave for Srinagar at 11.30 am.

Earlier in the beginning of July the Defense Minister was going to visit Leh, but suddenly his visit was canceled and Prime Minister Modi reached Neemu area of ​​Leh district on 3 July. This will be the first Defense Minister's visit to Ladakh after the May 5 deadlock between the Indian and Chinese armies.
