Seoul: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh heads to Seoul on Wednesday, aiming strong defence and security ties between India and South Korea.

Rajnath Singh will be conducting two way communication with counterpart S Korean Prime Minister, Lee Nak-Yon and Jeong Keyong-Doo the minister of National Defence.

It is to be mentioned that India is trying to build powerful military hardware cooperation with South Korea. As Indian Army's partnership with the Indian firm 'Larsen and Toubro' has already introduced a self-propelled howitzers (a type of military canon), K-9 Varja.

A business meeting with the Korean government will also be conducted after a CEO's Forum in Seoul. This meet will aim at building strong bonds between the army of two countries. The members of Defence Industries from both the countries will also participate for the better discussion.

The Defence Minister Rajnath Singh briefed the media about the bilateral meet with S Korea, saying, "The bilateral meeting with The Republic of Korea will include wide-rangeing discussions to enhace bilateral defence and security engagements between the two countries."

Before heading to South Korea Rajnath Singh also conducted a meeting at Japan on September 2nd and 3rd. The Minister is scheduled to stay in S Korea for 2-days i.e. September 5th, 6th.
