New Delhi: Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday was critcized for his 'teach lesson' remark on Bollywood actor Aamir Khan

His comments on Aamir Khan have invited criticism from the opposition and CPI general secretary Setaram Yechury said, ‘Even the defence minister cannot be spare for spreading insecurity in the country’.

The defence minister alleged that the controversy around the actor's comments saw people withdraw from an e-commerce portal he endorsed, though Parrirkar did not name e-commerce giant ‘Snapdeal’ either- and said the actor had to pay for the controversy.
