Death toll decreased; Corona Recovery Rate at 92% in India: Health Ministry

New Delhi: In a press conference on the condition of corona virus in the country, Health Secretary, Rajesh Bhushan said that more than 76 lakh people in India have been cured of corona. More than 11 crore tests have been done so far. The recovery rate is 92 percent.

5,991 cases of corona per lakh:

There are 5,991 cases of corona per lakh population in the country. There are 5,944 cases reported per 1 million population in the world. India has lost 89 people per 1 million population, while 154 deaths per 1 million population have been reported worldwide, which is low when compared to the world level.

The number of active cases in the country has come down to 5,41,405, this shows that there is no unnecessary burden on our hospitals. Test, track, trace and treatment needs attention. The situation in the country has improved, it needs to be saved.

NITI Aayog member Dr. VK Pal said that new cases are increasing in many areas. Cases are also increasing in Delhi and nearby Gurugram, Faridabad. In Haryana, 15–16 per cent people have been infected in sero survey, about 85 per cent of the population has survived infection. That is, 85 percent of the population is still at risk of infection. In Europe we see that there has been a fresh rise in cases.

Corona is slowing down in India. In 24 hours, 38,310 new cases of corona have been reported and 490 deaths have occurred. Corona's active cases have decreased by 20,503 during the past 24 hours, while the number of infection-free people has been increasing by 58,323.
