New Delhi: Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim suffered a heart attack and currently is in a critical condition at a Karachi-based hospital in Pakistan, claimed the media reports on Saturday.

The reports have claimed that the 61-year-don is currently admitted to Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi. India's most wanted criminal's close aide, Chhota Shakeel, however, has rubbished the reports saying, "The Don is doing fine."

Dawood Ibrahim is amongst the prime accused of plotting 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai in which 257 people lost their lives while 700 others suffered severe injuries.

The mafia don is accused of funding the entire execution of blasts on orders from Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence. He is alleged of conspiring several other terror attacks in the country. He is also facing charges of money laundering and extortion.

India and even the United States have claimed that Dawood Ibrahim financed terror organisations including al Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Taiba. India has made several attempts to track down Dawood, who is said to be running the Mumbai's underworld by remote control from Dubai and Karachi.
