Srinagar: Kashmir valley on Saturday became curfew-free after 127 days. Most of the shops have re-opened and the rest are expected to resume business from this evening.

"Curfew has also been lifted from the five police station areas of the city where it was imposed yesterday as a precautionary measure," a police official said.

Separatists have called a 15-hour relaxation in the strike. Movement of vehicles and transports of vehicles has been increased after the lifting of long-imposed curfew.

At least 85 people died while more than 1,000 injured during the Kashmir unrest which was started since the encounter killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani.
