Srinagar: Amid simmering tensions following the arrest of three youths in the Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar town, authorities here on Sunday imposed curfew to maintain peace in area.

Three people were arrested by the police on late Saturday night for violating the law and order in the town.

Announcements were made to call on civilians to protest against the arrests.

The three youths were recently released after they served their term of detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA).

"They have been picked up for their anti-social activities," police said.
