New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday interacted with members of various social welfare organizations through video conferencing.

In this conversation, Prime Minister Modi said that the whole country is showing great effort, courage and patience in fighting the Corona virus.

The Prime Minister said that Mahatma Gandhi used to say that serving the poor is the best way to serve the country. The Prime Minister praised those organizations serving humanity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacts with more than 200 people daily to get a direct response on India's fight against the corona virus. This information was given by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

PM Modi talks to doctors to encourage them:

The PMO said that such dialogues of the Prime Minister include phone calls made to governors, chief ministers and state health ministers.

A statement issued by the PMO said that PM Modi also contacts doctors, nurses, health workers and sanitation workers through phone in various parts of the country. PM Modi does this to "encourage them and show gratitude for their service to the country and society."

Mann Ki baat:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the country in his special program MANN KI BAAT, said that he apologizes to the country, because some decisions have to be taken which disturbed the lifestyle of country, PM Modi has apologized especially to the poor section of society.

At 8 pm on 24 March, to the name of the country, PM Narendra Modi announced the nationwide lock down from 25 March. Today is the fifth day of lock down.
