New Delhi: Cases of new corona strains are increasing in the country. Three new cases of Corona's new variant reported in Chennai. Tamil Nadu Health Secretary Dr. RadhaKrishanan said in Chennai on Tuesday that 3 more cases of new corona strains reported in Chennai. With this, 4 cases of new corona strains reported so far in Tamil Nadu.

20 more cases of new corona strains in the country

20 more cases of the more contagious form of corona virus found in Britain found in the country on Tuesday. With this, the number of patients infected with this strain in the country increased to 58. All these newly infected samples found in a sample sent to Pune's National Institute of Virology ([NIV)].

The Union Health Ministry said that all people found infected with the new strain of corona virus kept in single room isolation in their states. People in close contact with them also quarantined. A comprehensive campaign launched to identify people traveling with them, family members and other people in contact.

According to the ministry, genome sequencing of samples of other infected people returned from the UK is also underway. The situation remains under constant surveillance. States are constantly advised about new corona strains.

A group of 10 specialized laboratories have been formed in different states of the country to investigate the new corona strains. Of the 58 cases so far, eight have been reported at the National Center for Disease Control ([NCDC)] in Delhi and 11 at the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology ([IGIB)].
