Coronavirus: Single day rise of 1,421 new COVID-19 infections, 149 fatalities

Coronavirus latest updates: The speed of Coronavirus has slowed down in India. In the last 24 hours, 1421 new cases of covid-19 have come, after which the number of people infected with Coronavirus in the country so far has increased to 4,30,19,453. At present, the number of active cases in India has come down to 16,187. This information has been given by the Union Health Ministry. In the last 24 hours, 149 people have died due to corona, after which the number of people who lost their lives due to infection increased to 5,21,004. Apart from this, at the national level, the recovery rate from covid-19 is 98.75 percent.

Corona active cases:

There has also been a steady decrease in active cases in the country. According to the Ministry of Health, the daily infection rate was recorded at 0.23 percent, while the weekly infection rate is 0.27 percent. In the last 24 hours, a total of 6,20,251 samples were tested for covid-19 to confirm the infection. India has so far tested more than 78.69 crore samples.

The number of people who have recovered has increased to 4,24,80,436, while the death rate has been recorded at 1.21 percent. Under the nationwide vaccination campaign in the country, so far more than 183.20 crore people have been given doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccine.

The Health Ministry said that out of those who have died due to corona virus infection so far, more than 70 percent of the patients also had other diseases.

The ministry said on its website that its figures are being matched with the data of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
