Coronavirus: Single-day rise of 1,225 new COVID-19 infections, 28 deaths

The number of corona infected in the country is continuously decreasing. In the last 24 hours, 1225 new cases were found, while the active cases have come down to 14,307. During this, 28 people died due to the pandemic.

According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday morning, there has been a decrease in active cases by 397 in the last 24 hours, while 1594 infected people have recovered from the pandemic. The total death toll has risen to 5,21,129 with 28 more deaths. At the same time, the number of total infected has increased by 1225 to 4,3,024,440.

In the last 24 hours, 22,27,307 people were given anti-corona vaccines in the country. Thus a total of 1,84,06,55,005 doses have been administered so far.

Corona in Delhi:

According to the data shared by the Health Department, a positivity rate of 0.50 percent was recorded in Delhi. With 123 fresh cases, the total number of coronavirus cases in the national capital increased to 18,64,857. It said that the death toll is 26,151.

The Health Department said that 24,706 tests of corona virus were done in the past. Earlier on Tuesday, 95 corona virus cases were found in Delhi. However, no one died during this period. Not only this, not a single death was registered from Corona on Monday and the number of cases was 90.

Let us inform that after the record cases of 28,867 on January 13, there has been a decline in the number of corona cases coming to Delhi every day. The city had recorded a positivity rate of 30.6 per cent on January 14, the highest during the third wave of the pandemic.
