Coronavirus: Lowest active cases in 187 days, More than 30k new COVID patients

New Delhi: A slight increase has been registered in the new cases of corona infection in the country. In the last 24 hours, more than 31 thousand cases of corona infection have been registered.

According to the latest data of the Ministry of Health, 31 thousand 923 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours and during this time 282 deaths have been registered due to corona. At the same time, 31 thousand 990 recoveries have been done.

Corona latest update:

After the latest figures, the total number of cases of infection has increased to 3,28,15,731, out of which 4,46,050 people have died and 3,01,604 are active cases. These are the lowest active cases after 187 days.

After 19,675 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Kerala on Wednesday, the total number of infected people increased to 45 lakh 59 thousand 628. Apart from this, with the death of 142 patients, the death toll has reached 24,039. In 24 hours, 19,702 people have recovered from the infection, after which the total number of people who have been cured has gone up to 43 lakh 73 thousand 966.

Vaccination in India:

The Union Health Ministry said, till September 22, 83 crore 39 lakh 90 thousand doses of corona vaccine have been given across the country. 71.38 lakh vaccines were administered on the last day. At the same time, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), about 55.83 crore corona tests have been done so far. 15.27 lakh corona sample tests were done on the last day, whose positivity rate is less than 3 percent.

The death rate due to corona in the country is 1.33 percent while the recovery rate is 97.77 percent. Active cases are 0.90 percent. India is now at 8th place in the world in terms of Corona Active Cases. India ranks second in terms of the total number of infected. Whereas after America, Brazil has the highest number of deaths in India.
