Coronavirus: Single day rise of 2,503 new COVID-19 infections, 27 fatalities

Coronavirus Latest Updates: The cases of Coronavirus in the country are continuously decreasing. At the same time, active cases have also decreased. During the last 24 hours, 2503 new cases of covid-19 have been reported. With this, the total number of infected (Corona Active Case) in the country has increased to 4,29,93,494, while the number of patients under treatment has come down to 36,168. This information has been given by the Union Health Ministry on Monday. The ministry said that 4,377 patients have been cured in the last 24 hours. During this, 27 people have died due to corona. In the figures released on Sunday, 47 patients had died.

Corona cases in India:

According to the Ministry of Health, so far 4,24,41,449 people have been cured of corona and the death toll has reached 5,15,877. The number of patients under treatment in comparison to the total infected is 0.08 percent, while the rate of recovery from covid-19 at the national level has also improved further and has reached 98.72 percent. The mortality rate is 1.20 percent. So far, more than 1,80,19,45,779 crore doses of covid-19 vaccine have been given in the country.

The number of infected people in the country had exceeded 20 lakh on 7 August 2020, 30 lakh on 23 August 2020 and 40 lakh on 5 September 2020. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed two crores and on June 23, 2021, crossed three crores. On January 26 this year, the cases had crossed four crores.

The Health Ministry says that the central government is committed to expanding the scope of covid-19 vaccination across the country and accelerating the pace of vaccinating people.
