Coronavirus: India logs 8,013 COVID-19 infections, 119 fatalities in 24 Hours

New Delhi: There is a steady decline in Corona cases in the country, due to which the number of fresh cases (Daily Covid-19 Cases) has come down to less than 10 thousand. According to Sunday's data released by the Ministry of Health, 8,013 cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours. During this, 119 people also died. After these new figures of death, the total number of death cases in the country has gone up to 5,13,843. If we talk about vaccination, so far 1,77,50,86,335 people have got corona vaccine in the country.

The biggest relief is that now only 1.02 lakh (1,02,601) active cases are left in the country. The drastic reduction in active cases means that corona infected patients are recovering rapidly.

At the same time, the total number of patients who have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic has gone up to 4.23 crore (4,23,07,686). There have been 2260 fewer cases today than yesterday. The positivity rate has also come down to 1 percent now. Yesterday 10273 new cases of corona were reported and 243 people died.

On Sunday, 484 cases were reported in Delhi and three patients died. At the same time, the infection rate increased to 0.95 percent. The cases of corona in Delhi have become less than before. But the testing continues continuously. In the last 24 hours, 50759 people were tested, out of which 484 people have been found infected. It is a matter of relief that 554 patients have been cured of the infection in 24 hours. This clearly shows that the number of cured patients is more than the newly infected patients.

So far, a total of more than 76 crore sample tests have been done.

Giving information, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that 7,23,828 sample tests were done for corona virus in India yesterday. At the same time, a total of 76.74 sample tests have been done in the country since the beginning of the Pandemic. At present, the daily positivity rate in the country is 1.11%, while the weekly positivity rate is 1.17%.
