Coronavirus Updates: Continuous efforts are being made to eliminate Coronavirus in the country. This is the reason why there is a decrease in the number of cases coming daily. In the last 24 hours, 2,539 new cases of covid-19 have been reported, after which the total number of infected in the country has increased to 4,30,01,477. Meanwhile, 60 more patients have died, after which the death toll has reached 5,16,132. At the same time, the number of patients under treatment has come down to 30,799. This information has been given by the Union Health Ministry.

According to the Union Health Ministry, 4,491 patients have been cured in the last 24 hours, after which the national recovery rate has increased to 98.73 percent. So far, a total of 4,24,54,546 people have become infection free in the country and the death rate from covid-19 is 1.20 percent. At the same time, more than 180.80 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign. The daily rate of infection was recorded at 0.35 percent and the weekly rate was 0.42 percent. So far, a total of 78.12 crore samples have been tested for covid-19 in the country, out of which 7,17,330 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

The number of infected people in the country had exceeded 20 lakh on 7 August 2020, 30 lakh on 23 August 2020 and 40 lakh on 5 September 2020. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed two crores and on June 23, 2021, crossed three crores. On January 26 this year, the cases had crossed four crores.

More than 2.6 lakh children were given the first dose of the anti-Covid-19 'Corbevax' vaccine on Wednesday, the first day of the anti-covid-19 vaccination of children in the age group of 12 to 14 years in the country.
