New Delhi: To avoid the corona pandemic in India, people who have got both the doses are now falling prey to covid-19. Of the new corona cases reported daily in Kerala, 40 percent of the patients are those who have taken both doses of the vaccine.

Corona cases have decreased across the country including Kerala, but breakthrough infection has raised concerns. At the same time, Kerala is still the state with the highest number of new cases. Even after getting both the vaccines in breakthrough infection, people are vulnerable to the virus.


If we look at the figures of the last one week here, more than 6000 new cases have been reported daily, which is close to 60 percent of the new cases of the whole country. Not only this, in these new cases of Kerala, 40 percent of the new patients are those who have taken both the doses. This situation is when 95 percent of the population of Kerala has been given the first vaccine of corona and 60 percent of the population has been given both the vaccines.

Talking about the country, out of the 125 patients who died due to covid-19 in the last 24 hours, 65 are from Kerala and 18 from Maharashtra. Apart from this, the number of people who have recovered from the disease has increased to 3,38,49,785 while the death rate is 1.35 percent. At the same time, the number of patients under treatment has come down to 1,34,096 which is 0.39 percent of the total number of infected and it is the lowest since March 2020.

Maharashtra has the highest number of deaths

According to the data of the ministry, a total of 4,63,655 people have died due to infection in the country so far, including 1,40,583 in Maharashtra, 38,145 in Karnataka, 36,284 in Tamil Nadu, 35,750 in Kerala, 25,094 in Delhi, 22,909 in Uttar Pradesh and There are 19,314 people from West Bengal. The Health Ministry said that out of those who have died due to corona virus infection so far, more than 70 percent of the patients also had other diseases.
