Coronavirus: India reports 71,365 fresh COVID19 cases; 1,217 deaths

New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, 71,365 new cases of corona were reported in the country, 1,72,211 people recovered and 1,217 people died due to corona. The daily positivity rate in the country is now 4.54 percent. Till now 4 crore 24 lakh 10 thousand 976 cases have been registered in the country. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, Corona, now the number of active cases in the country has come down to 8 lakh 92 thousand 828. After which there has also been a decrease in the active rate of the total cases and it has become 2.11%. While the daily positivity rate has reached 4.5%. The weekly positivity rate has gone up to 7.57 per cent.

The recovery rate is currently 96.70 percent. At the same time, the number of people who lost their lives due to this pandemic has increased to 5 lakh 5 thousand 279. According to the data, yesterday two lakh 30 thousand 814 people were cured, after which 4 crore 10 lakh 12 thousand 869 people have become infection free. 15 lakh 71 thousand 726 sample tests were done, after which a total of 74 crore 46 lakh 84 thousand 750 sample tests have been done till yesterday.

So far, about 170 crore doses of anti-coronavirus vaccines have been given under the nationwide vaccination campaign. Yesterday 53 lakh 61 thousand 99 doses were given, after which 170 crore 87 lakh 6 thousand 705 doses of vaccine have been given. The first dose has been given. The government is continuously appealing to the people to follow the covid protocol regarding the prevention of corona. The government is making people aware about wearing masks and following social distancing while stepping out of their homes.

On Tuesday, 6,107 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Maharashtra and 57 people died due to the pandemic. The State Health Department gave this information. The department said in a bulletin that after the arrival of new cases, the number of infected has increased to 78,16,243 while the number of dead has increased to 1,43,155.
