Coronavirus: India reports 67,084 fresh COVID19 cases, 1,241 deaths

New Delhi: More than 67000 new cases of covid-19 have been reported in India today. While 1,241 patients have died during the last 24 hours. The Union Health Ministry said that the active patients of Coronavirus in the country have now come down to 7.90 lakhs.

The ministry has informed that in the last 24 hours, 1,67,882 people have been cured of infection across the country, after which the number of people who have been cured of corona so far has gone up to 4,11,80,751. At the same time, after the arrival of 67084 new cases, the total number of patients in the country has crossed 4,24,78,060.

So far 5,06,520 people have died due to infection here. The ministry said that in the last 24 hours, there has been a decrease in the number of active patients in the country by 102039.

The daily positivity rate in the country is 4.44 percent. Whereas the buy positivity rate is 6.58 percent. At the same time, the recovery rate has now gone up to 96.95 percent. Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that 15,11,321 sample tests were conducted for corona virus in the country on Wednesday, after which the sample testing figure in the country has now gone up to 74,61,96,071.

Active patients of corona virus infection in India are currently 7,90,789, which is 1.86 percent of the total cases. At the same time, so far 171.28 crore doses of Corona Vaccine have been applied across the country. On Wednesday, more than 46,44,382 lakh people were given vaccine doses in the country. According to the latest figures, the total vaccination figure in India now stands at 1,71,28,19,947. The ministry said that at least one crore people in the age group of 15-18 have received both doses of the vaccine.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted on Wednesday and wrote, 'Historic step of young India. More than one crore adolescents in the age group of 15-18 years have been fully vaccinated.
