Coronavirus: India logs 58,077 new COVID-19 cases, 657 deaths

The Union Health Ministry said that the active patients of the virus in the country have now come down to 6.97 lakh.

New Delhi: 58,077 new cases of Coronavirus have been reported in India, after which the total number of covid-19 patients in the country has now increased to 4,25,36,137. Whereas after the death of 657 patients during this period, the death toll due to infection has reached 5,07,177.

The Union Health Ministry said that the active patients of the virus in the country have now come down to 6.97 lakh.

Corona Latest Update:

The Health Ministry informed that in the last 24 hours, 1,50,407 people have also been cured of the infection across the country, after which the number of people who have been cured of corona so far has gone up to 4,13,31,158. At the same time, the number of active cases is currently 6,97,802, which is 1.64 percent of the total cases. The daily positivity rate is 3.89 percent. Whereas the buy positivity rate is 5.76 percent.


Recovery Rate above 97 per cent:

According to the ministry, the recovery rate in the country has now gone up to 97.17 percent. At the same time, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that 14,91,678 sample tests were done for corona virus in India on Thursday, after which the sample testing figure in the country has now increased to 74.78.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinations in India has now reached 171.79 crore. On Thursday, more than 48,18,867 lakh people were given vaccine doses in the country. After which the vaccination figure in India has now gone up to 1,71,79,51,432. The ministry said that at least one crore people of 15-18 age group have received both doses of Corona Vaccine.
