Coronavirus: Over 47 thousand new cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours

New Delhi: Corona cases have increased again in the country. Nearly 47 thousand new cases of Corona have come up in 24 hours, due to which the Government's concern is increasing. According to the data released by the Ministry of Health, in the 24 hours the country has reported 46 thousand 951 new cases while 21 thousand 280 people have been cured and 212 people have died.

With this, now the total figure of corona cases in the country has been 1,16,46,081. The number of active cases in this is 3,34,646 while 1,11,51,468 people have been cured. At the same time, 1,59,967 people have lost their lives due to Corona virus. Talk about vaccination, so far 4,50,65,998 people have been given the dose of corona vaccine.

67 Percent hike in Corona cases:

Corona cases in India have seen a rapid increase this week. This week an increase of 67 percent has been reported in cases of infection. Compared to the previous week, 1 lakh more cases were registered in the country this week. The number of people who died of corona this week has also increased by 41 percent.

In the country between March 15-21, ie, 2.6 lakh cases of corona were reported last week. While 1.55 lakh cases of corona were registered during 8–14 March. This is the biggest jump in Corona's cases so far. Earlier, on 20–26 July, a surge of 34 percent was witnessed in Corona Cases. During this period, 80,000 cases were reported more than the previous week.

The cases of deaths due to the spread of corona infection have also seen a steady increase. For the first time since January 13, the death toll from Corona has crossed 200. On Sunday, 213 people died due to corona in the country. For the first time in 72 days, Corona has witnessed so many deaths. Maharashtra has recorded the highest number of 99 deaths in the last 24 hours. 44 deaths in Punjab. There were 13 deaths in Kerala, 10 in Chhattisgarh and 9 in Tamil Nadu.
