Coronavirus: 24,492 new COVID cases; 131 deaths in last 24 hours

New Delhi: There has been a steady increase in cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) in the country. According to the Union Health Ministry, new cases of covid-19 are increasing in 5 states Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.

78.41 percent of the total new cases:

According to Monday's data, 78.41 percent of the total new cases in the last 24 hours were from these states. Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that the main reason for increasing cases of infection in the country is negligence in proper covid behavior.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will again hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of all states and union territories on Wednesday about the rising threat and vaccination of Corona. At the same time, more than 3 crore doses of vaccine have been applied all over the country.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). On March 15, 8,73,350 corona samples have been examined across the country. So far 22,82,80,763 samples investigated in the country.

24,492 new cases of coronavirus:

In the last 24 hours, 24,492 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country. At the same time, 131 more people died due to infection. In this way, the total number of corona cases in the country has increased to 1,14,09,831 and 1,58,856 people have died so far. There are 2,23,432 active cases of corona in the country.

In the last 24 hours, 2 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Mizoram. According to the state government, the total number of positive cases is now 4,439 including 12 active cases, 4,417 discharged cases and 10 deaths.
