Coronavirus: India reports 12,516 new cases and 501 deaths in a day

New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, 12,516 new cases of Coronavirus have been reported in the country. Along with this, 13,155 people have also been cured of this pandemic. Apart from this, 501 people have also died due to corona in the country. At present, the total number of corona cases in the country is 3,44,14,186. The number of active cases is 1,37,416, which is the lowest in 267 days.

At the same time, the total number of recovery cases is 3,38,14,080. Also, the total number of deaths due to corona in the country so far is 4,62,690. The total vaccination figure in the country is 1,10,79,51,225. The recovery rate is 98.26 percent.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said on Friday that 11,65,286 sample tests were conducted for coronavirus in the country on Thursday. Till Thursday, a total of 62,10,67,350 sample tests have been done.

On Thursday, 7,224 new patients of coronavirus infection were found in Kerala and 419 deaths were recorded. After this, the total cases have reached 50,42,082 while the death toll has gone up to 35,040.

Corona in India:

Since Wednesday, 7,638 patients have also recovered from the infection, after which the number of patients who have become infection free has increased to 49,36,791. At the same time, the number of patients undergoing treatment for infection has come down to 69,625.

At the same time, with 40 new cases of coronavirus in Gujarat on Thursday, the total number of infection cases reached 8,26,866, while no other patient has died due to this pandemic. According to a release issued by the Health Department, after the discharge of 21 people from hospitals on Thursday, the number of people who have become infection free has increased to 8,16,542, now 234 patients of covid-19 are under treatment in Gujarat, including Seven are on ventilator.

Three people died of coronavirus in Punjab on Thursday, while 48 new cases of infection were reported, taking the total number of cases to 6,02,695. New cases of death in the state were reported from Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana and Mohali. With this, the death toll in the state has increased to 16,570. With the recovery of 21 patients from the infection, the number of people who have become infection free has increased to 5,85,859.
