Coronavirus: India reports 10,197 fresh COVID-19 cases, 301 Deaths

New Delhi: After 10,197 new cases of covid-19 were reported in India in a day, the total number of corona virus infected in the country increased to 3,44,66,598.

Out of this only 5516 new cases have been registered in Kerala. At the same time, the number of patients under treatment has come down to 1,28,555, which is the lowest in 527 days.

According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Wednesday, after the death of 301 more people due to infection in the last 24 hours, the death toll increased to 4,64,153. In these 301 cases, 39 deaths occurred in Kerala are included.

According to the ministry, for 40 consecutive days in the country, the daily cases of covid-19 are less than 20 thousand and for 143 days less than 50 thousand daily cases are being reported. The number of patients under treatment has also come down to 1,28,555, which is 0.37 percent of the total cases. This rate is the lowest since March 2020. The total number of cured patients has gone up to 3,38,73,890.

National recovery rate 98.28 percent

In the last 24 hours, there has been a decrease in the number of patients under treatment by 1,937. The national recovery rate of patients is 98.28 percent, which is the highest since March 2020. According to the data, the daily infection rate is 0.82 percent, which is less than 2 percent for the last 44 days. At the same time, the weekly infection rate is 0.96 percent, which has remained less than 2 percent for the last 54 days.

So far, a total of 3,38,61,756 people have become infection free and the covid-19 mortality rate is 1.35 percent. So far, more than 113.68 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given under the nationwide vaccination campaign.

Last year on August 7 the number of infected in the country had exceeded 20 lakhs, on August 23, 30 lakhs and on September 5, more than 40 lakhs. At the same time, the total cases of infection had crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October and 90 lakh on 20 November. In the country, on December 19, these cases crossed one crore, on May 4 this year it crossed two crore and on June 23, it crossed three crore.
