Corona Updates: India sees over 18 thousand New COVID Cases

New Delhi: Corona infection is spreading rapidly in the country once again. According to the data released by the Health Ministry at 8 am on Sunday, 18 thousand 711 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. At the same time 100 people died during this period. During this time, 14 thousand 392 patients were cured of infection. There were seven lakh 37 thousand 830 sample tests. More than 18 thousand cases have been reported for the second consecutive day.

Increase in Corona Cases:

According to the Ministry of Health, one crore 12 lakh 10 thousand 799 cases of total corona have been reported so far in the country. At the same time, one lakh 57 thousand 756 people have died. The active case has increased to one lakh 84 thousand 523.

One crore eight lakh 68 thousand 520 patients have been cured. The active case is 1.65 percent of the total cases. The recovery rate is 96.95 percent of the total cases. Death rate is 1.41 percent. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 22 crore 14 lakh 30 thousand 507 sample tests have been done so far to detect corona infection across the country. At the same time, a total of two crore nine lakh 22 thousand 344 people have been vaccinated.

Active cases are increasing steadily. Maharashtra has the highest number of 94,115 active cases. Whereas, in Punjab too, their number has crossed 7 thousand to cross five thousand. On Saturday, 2,791 new cases were reported in Kerala and 16 people died.

During this time, 3,517 people were also completely infection free. A total of 10.75 lakhs have been found infected in the state so far and 4,287 people have lost their lives. 562 new cases have been found in Tamil Nadu and four people have died. With this, the figure of infected in the state has been 8.54 lakhs and the number of dead has increased to 12,517.
