New Delhi: Indian Railways has changed the rules on special trains running on 15 routes. Railways has said that now booking these special trains will also be done online and through PRS counter ticket agent. Now passengers will be able to book tickets up to 30 days in advance.

New Rules and Regulations:

Earlier there was a booking before 7 days. Significant changes have been made in the rules of 15 pairs of special trains running on the Rajdhani route running from May 12. After the new changes, now passengers who have reservations in RAC will also be able to travel.

Railways has said that now the first chart will be released 4 hours before and the second chart 2 hours before these trains. The first rule was that the second chart was released 30 minutes or half an hour earlier. Changed rules will apply from May 24.

Of the 5,200 isolation coaches designed for Corona positive people, 60 per cent (3,120 coaches) will be used to run labor special trains. Officials said that these non AC trains will not be converted into common coaches again, but they will be used in Shramik Special.

Also, oxygen tanks, ventilators and other medical equipment will be removed. These coaches do not have center seats. In such a situation, the number of passengers will be less. Each coach has four toilets, which will be converted into two bathrooms. It will have a hand shower, bucket and mug.

Booking of tickets for all categories in 230 trains connecting different parts of the country has started from Friday. Booking and cancellation of tickets have been started through the counters of stations, post offices, passenger facility centers, common service centers and authorized agents of IRCTC.

Booking of tickets has started from 1.75 lakh community service centers since Friday and 13 lakh passengers booked tickets in 24 hours.

Central Railway has released a list of about 46 counters where passengers can go and book their confirmed tickets. These include railway counters of Mumbai division, Nagpur division, Bhuswal division, Solapur division and Pune division.

Passengers will have to reach the station an hour before the journey, where they will be screened. Masks will be compulsory for passengers. Entrance and exit gates at the station will be seperated. It will be mandatory to follow the rules of social distance in all places.
