New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 8 PM on Tuesday on the corona virus outbreak.

However, the Central and State Governments are constantly trying to deal with this and in view of this, 548 districts of India have been locked down.

"Will address the nation at 8 PM today, 24th March 2020, on vital aspects relating to the menace of COVID-19," Modi tweeted.

Video Conference with Media:

After noticing the scenes like gathering on the roads for thanking Medical warriors and other who are working unconditionally, PM Modi took a meeting on video call. PM Modi discussed the point on Monday Evening that people of nation are not taking this pandemic seriously. A scenario like festival just after Janata Curfew is shameful.

On Monday evening, people totally denied the fact of lock down and started roaming on the roads. Delhi NCR faced a huge traffic jam on very morning of Monday. This threatened the PM and others.

People are not understanding the seriousness of the situation. Media and PM Modi appealed nation to stay at home. Today, PM Modi will again address the nation and urge them for quarantine.

He had addressed the nation on efforts to combat the virus on March 19.

Nearly 511 corona virus cases have been reported in India so far, according to Health Ministry data on Tuesday.

As cases of the viral infection surged, authorities have put almost the entire country under lock down, banning gathering of people and suspending road, rail and air traffic till March 31.
