Congress says 'Dekho Kaun Aaya', BJP replies, 'Sher Modi Aaya'!

New Delhi: It was a battle of 'wits' between the treasury benches and the opposition in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. The occasion was the entry of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Upper House during the Question Hour.

PM was greeted with slogans chanting "Dekho Hindustan Ka Sher Aaya (the Lion of India has arrived)", which was a dig at the Congress leaders.

PM attended the Question Hour for about 15 minutes. As soon as PM entered the the house, few members from the opposition parties, making a taunt on him, said, "Dekho Dekho Kaun Aaya", to which the BJP members proudly replied, "Hindustan Ka Sher Aaya".

Prime Minister was given a grand welcome in the Lok Sabha yesterday when slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram' and 'Modi Modi' were raised by BJP leaders.
