Kolkata: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s grandson Chandrakumar Bose as the Chief Ministerial candidate in coming assembly elections in West Bengal.

The announcement was made by Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Smriti Irani on Wednesday.

Worked for declassification of files related to Netaji:

Chandra Bose played a big role in getting the files related to Netaji declassified. He joined BJP after the files were declassified.

Bhawanipur: Mamta’a home turf:

Mamta Banerjee was elected as the Chief Minister after winning election from Bhavanipur seat in 2011 assembly elections.
