Centre permits Permanent Commission for Women Army officers

New Delhi: The Union Defense Ministry has officially approved the grant of Permanent Commission to women officers in the Indian Army. The government has issued a notification on this Thursday. After which now women will also be posted in various top positions. Now women officers have got the right to play a big role in the organization.

The Army has issued a statement saying that the Indian Army is fully prepared to give all women officers a chance to serve the country.

According to this order, women officers of the Staff Services Commission (SSC) have been allowed permanent commission in all ten parts of the Indian Army. That is, women officers will also get permanent commission in Army Air Defense, Army Service Corps, Army Ordinance Corps, Intelligence Corps, Signal, Engineer, Army Aviation, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering.

Also, this facility will be available in the Judge and Advocate General (JAG) and Army Educational Corps (AEC). After getting official approval, now the Permanent Commission Selection Board will soon deploy women officers. The army headquarters has taken several other actions for this. The Selection Board will initiate action on behalf of all the Permanent Services Commission (SSC) women after completing their options and paperwork.

There was a demand for this Permanent Commission for a long time. This case also reached the Supreme Court. Where the court reprimanded the central government and gave the government three months to make this commission. The court gave its verdict in the month of February.
