New Delhi: The CBI has achieved great success today. Enamul Haque, an alleged kingpin of a cattle smuggler operating on the India-Bangladesh border, has been arrested. According to media reports, Haq, who is based in West Bengal, has been arrested from Delhi. He is accused of running an animal trafficking gang in association with a BSF jawan.

CBI arrested cattle suppliers:

CBI had received secret information in this regard on Thursday. Based on that, the team searched the premises of two chartered accountants in Kolkata in connection with the case. Officials said that a case has been registered against Satish Kumar, a former commandant of 36 BSF battalion. Satish was posted in Raipur.

Let us know that Haq was earlier arrested by the CBI in March 2018 for bribing another BSF commandant, Jibu T Mathew. Was arrested at Alappuzha railway station in January 2018 with Rs 47 lakh cash. He was currently out on bail.

Earlier, cattle smuggling from Jammu has also been arrested. Today, the police has freed 98 cattle. These cattle were smuggled into 14 vehicles and transported. The police have seized all 14 vehicles. During the police action, some cattle smugglers managed to escape from the spot. However, the police have arrested 7 smugglers in the case. Actually, the police were investigating these 14 trucks. During the search of the vehicles, police found cattle in the truck.
