BSP candidate violates Model Code of Conduct in Baghpat

Baghpat: In an open violation of the Model Code of Conduct and the orders of the Supreme Court, the assembly candidates of the Uttar Pradesh have distributed religious calendars in Baraut district of Uttar Pradesh.

Although, the district administration are claiming of keeping a close eye on parities to make sure that they do not violate the Model Code of Conduct, the candidates are still doing the same. A Bahujan Samaj Party candidate is openly violating the directives of the Election Commission and SC by adapting objectionable ways of advertisement in Baraut constituency.

The candidate's supporters have been distributing calendars with religious images among the residents of the constituency.

It may be recalled that a meeting was held at BSP Chief's Mayawati residence on Sunday last where she sternly directed all the candidates and workers of the Party to follow the model code of conduct.
