BSNL all set to launch an e-wallet ‘SpeedPay’ with SBI

New Delhi: The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) and State Bank of India (SBI) together are all set to launch a countrywide online wallet ‘SpeedPay’ by the end of May.

BSNL and SBI will approach their respective nodal ministries to enable the use of the wallet to disburse subsidies under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, Anupam Shrivastava, chairman and managing director, BSNL said.

“All the tests are over, everything is complete. In about a fortnight or a month, BSNL will be launching a wallet service with SBI,” said Shrivastava.
