Chandigarh: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday foiled infiltration bid at Bamiyal sector near the Dinda border in Pathankot district of Punjab gunning down the intruder from Pakistan.

One jawan suffered minor injuries in the exchange of fire. “There was no loss of life to BSF in a gunfight. We gave warnings to the intruder before killing him,” said BSF officials.

On the other hand, the encounter in Kulgam district which took place between Indian Army and terrorists, ended with latter fleeing.
